Over the years J.K Rowling has taken fans to Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley and in recent years 1920s New York City and The Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA). Now, director David Yates is getting ready to take fans to the wizarding world in Paris.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, director David Yates said:

“[The wizarding world in Paris is] quite glamorous, it’s quite beautiful. There’s a community that lives alongside the muggle community, it’s much freer than in New York, where there’s segregation."

Fantastic Beast 2 will take place just months after the first film, in 1927, with Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) having escaped prison and started recruiting other wizards. Muggles, or as American know them as No-Majs, are starting to take more notice of the strange events things taking place in their city.

Who To Expect?

Joining the returning cast to the wizarding world is: Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore; Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald; Callum Turner as Newt Scamander's older brother, Theseus Scamander and Zoë Kravitz as Newt's old school friend Leta Lestrange.

With one film already out and four more in line, fans will be seeing a lot more of the wizarding world on our screens. The next film in the series, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald, will be released on 16th November this year.
